Johnco-The Solar System Kit: There are many planetary systems like ours in the universe, with planets orbiting a host star. Our planetary system is named the “solar” system because our Sun is named Sol, after the Latin word for Sun, “Solis,” and anything related to the Sun we call “solar.”
Why Is It Called The “Solar” System?
Our solar system consists of our star, the Sun, and everything bound to it by gravity — the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, dwarf planets such as Pluto, dozens of moons and millions of asteroids, comets and meteoroids. Beyond our own solar system, we have discovered thousands of planetary systems orbiting other stars in the Milky Way.
This kit provides a hands-on lesson about how solar power drives a motor. Children aged 10 years and over can learn how all eight planets orbit around the sun as they build, paint and bring their very own solar system to life by using motorized solar energy.
Why educational toys help children learn in a fun way!
These scientific toys present kids with unique challenges and encourage the kid to find solutions to win the game. Not only does the child approach problems independently, but they’re also open to facing struggles confidently. Kids are able to identify with problems as a learning opportunity, and they carry this learning with them for their lifetime.
The more the kids are exposed to motor activities, the stronger and more confident they get about using their hands and fingers. It is especially good to introduce these technology toys at an early age when the improvements happen in big spurts, and at a fast pace.
Build, paint and assemble the solar system.
Detailed instruction manual included.
